Thanks for reporting me on X. What a courageous “fake Christian”. Nothing like a person who worships Jews and reports an actual Christian who fights to defend Jesus Christ. By the way, I have a post graduate degree in international relations with emphasis on Abrahamic religions and am a disabled veteran who fought in seven combat deployments for free speech so marshmallow’s like you could get offended and report me like a first grader
However, since you took the trouble of coming here, let me say the following. I am justified by the imputed righteousness of Christ, which I have received by grace alone through the faith gifted me by the Spirit. I do not worship “Jews,” but worship and serve the Son of God who was made incarnate according to our nature, taking his ethnic descent from the Jewish people, circumcised, living in full obedience to the Law of Moses. So, if you like, I worship one Jew: the God-Man, who is the promised Messiah of his people and a light to the Gentiles, the true descendant of David. I oppose the hatred of Jews, the false accusations often lobbed against them, and all instances of mistreatment which they have received. Any hatred of Jews, either for their bloodline or religious practice, is contrary to Scripture, for they are the nation Christ died to redeem, and whom Paul wished to count himself accursed to ensure their salvation. Thank you for fighting for my free right to say that. This will be my last response.
I assume you were a commenter on one of my tweets yesterday that received hundreds of replies. I was not able to read and respond to them all. I certainly did not report you for wrongdoing. I do not know if that will convince you. Many people were reading those posts, and any of them could have taken such an action. I suggest you handle it with the powers that be at Twitter/X.
"...the older I get, the more I think about faith in terms of desire rather than mere intellectual assent."
YES! I was kind of surprised, though, that you described "falling in love with Christianity" instead of falling in love with Christ? (I do acknowledge that "falling in love with Jesus" is an overused cliche in some circles, so maybe that's why.) Is there a difference, in your mind? What happens for people who have fallen OUT of love with Christianity but still find something about Jesus compelling?
(These are genuine questions--not intended to be argument starters.)
Christianity means following Christ. Yes, I could have just as easily said falling in love with Christ. Maybe I should have. I guess the original question was framed to me in terms of “Christianity” and that’s why I said it. I will also say, though, that I do love the Christian religion and I love the Church. Sometimes (a lot of times) Christian institutions do evil things, and U don’t love those. However, I still love the Church with all its flaws. I love Christ in his perfection.
Your thoughts are so insightful.
I am reading at 2:24 this morning. I am physically sick, but strengthened in faith from your encouraging thoughts put to page.
Delighted to hear it!
This post had me near tears. I am grateful that you wrote this post.
I’m so glad it was helpful!

Yes! I love those things, too. I don't know about "should" have--I was just curious to understand your meaning better. Thanks for helping me.
Thanks for reading!
It's a pleasure! I really appreciate what you have to say.
