A friend shared it there. I no longer use the RIH Discord because I just don’t have the time to keep up with it. I do regularly keep up with friends I have made in the club. If you’re interested, I will be discussing the episodes with Glen Scrivener on the Speak Life podcast, to be recorded next week. Should be a good discussion.
Sadly, I can make no claim to personal acquaintance with Tom Hanks, but I did discover through researching my family history that we are very distant cousins.
I think you've described my feelings about these episodes although you're much more educated in these matters than me! I was confused regarding Tom's descriptions of faith which don't ring true to me as a Christian who is reformed but spent many years in the mega church wilderness. But he's a historian not a theologian and am loving the series regardless.
I second all those sentiments. Even as a historian, he's more of an ancient history specialist than a Reformation specialist, though he certainly knows a good bit about a broad range of historical topics.
An excellent piece. I would underline that the series is well worth listening to.
It is! Per usual.
Great job. You should post this to the discord. Love Tom, but his misunderstanding of Luther’s Gospel Theology was big.

Oh. I missed that. Was it Tom Hanks?
